This Award-winning Bed & Breakfast, was renovated and brought to life by two fabulous guys, one Italian and one Brit. After establishing and running the business for over 10 years, they decided to step away and enjoy ‘La Dolce Vita’, giving us, two previously London based ladies, also one Italian and one Brit, the opportunity to give up teaching and fulfil a long-held dream of moving to Italy.
La Grande Quercia is aptly named after the impressive oak tree that lives alongside the property, estimated to be over 200 years old. We are located just 7km from the historic town of Teramo, in the relatively undiscovered region of Abruzzo which sits on the East coast of Italy, flanked by Le Marche to the North, Molise to the South and Lazio to the West. Abruzzo is described by many as the undiscovered Tuscany and when you come to stay, you will see why.
Abruzzo boasts welcoming locals, an abundance of natural beauty and delicious food and wine, allowing visitors to experience the traditional Italy. We would love to share our regional knowledge with you, guiding you to places only the locals know for delicious dinners in the hills, a cycle in the mountains or a restful day by our pool. Ideally situated just a short drive from the sandy beaches of the Adriatic Sea, what's not to love!
